The Moore Chanté Show – Ep. 5/16/2021

…annnnnnnd we’re back to recap another great episode of TMCS.

But before we begin, let me kick it off with a question: You ever look at someone and wonder to yourself, “What did I do to deserve such a loving man/woman? Why does he/she do the things they do?” Well, I think we all should be asking ourselves that when it comes to our girl, Chanté. I mean, here she is, fatigued, stressed and running to catch a flight to take care of business and what does she do? She pauses and MAKES time to give love to her fans with another show.

That’s commitment.
That’s love.
That’s Chanté.

And I love that opening: “Hi… …I just want to say hello…”

And to think, she actually thanked US for being here!!! Wow, just wow.

Lady, we don’t deserve you.

Thankfully, she did reassure us that she was doing ok (hey, this woman has been working hard lately). And you know, considering that fact that she’s working on another (YAAAAAAAY!!!!) album, interviewing, guest appearing on shows and re-entering the tour circuit despite the challenges of the pandemic, it’s comforting to know that she presses on.

She wasn’t even sure if she was going to sing during this episode (we all know how THAT turned out, right?). And still, she brought us another show.

Lady, we don’t deserve you.

Soon she will be resting, but for now, there’s work to do. She couldn’t go into detail, but we’re all excited.

She shared that she was having an emotional week, remembering her pastor who passed away, among other things. She admitted that she was still feeling the weight of it all, but as she mentioned prior to that, it was an opportunity for her to take her own advice and keep going. So for those of you who think she doesn’t endure trials, tribulation and strife in her life, please know that at the end of the day, she’s human, just like the rest of us. When she says and sings “It’s Alright” she believes it in her heart and wants us to do the same. And if it’s not alright, pray and persevere, because eventually it WILL be.

And she put an exclamation point on it by singing my all-time favorite Chanté Moore ballad, “Love’s Still Alright”. I’m still shaking from listening to that.

Lady, we don’t deserve you.

She did add that she’s in a place right now where she’s learning to trust the Lord and trust her own instincts; what’s going on and even what isn’t. Through it all, she continues to learn.

July 3, 4 (Houston, TX) Chanté will be performing with Queen Cora and the Queen Cora Orchestra.
