What are you doing this evening?
Today just happens to be the 27th birthday of my third son. We kept trying for a girl, but ended up with four boys. That’s probably a good thing because if I had a girl, I’d probably end up buying a rocking chair for my front porch so I can intimidate young hopefuls.

And she wouldn’t see daylight until she was 112.

Anyway, the youngest is 24 and the oldest will be 32 next month, so my “babies” are now all young men, working and enjoying the rewards and responsibilities of adulthood (hey, I warned them…).
Tonight, we’ll all be together to celebrate and thankfully, he’s chosen this not-so-new Mexican restaurant he’s been trying so hard to get my wife and I to try.

To that, I say “Bless him” because I love Mexican cuisine and have been begging my wife for over a year. Meanwhile, she’s given me every excuse not to go: It’s too crowded, I don’t feel like dining in, it’s too expensive, I have a headache (I’m gonna start carrying aspirin around and having her take it one hour before I get any bright ideas).
Well, she can’t get out if this one.
Whoop. Time to go!
Can’t wait. I love having the family together. Hail, hail, the gang’s all here…
