Leaping Out Of 2024. Creeping Into 2025.

Hello friends and Happy New Year! 2024 is finally gone and hopefully, it took a lot of the bad energy, luck, and attitudes with it.

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you all that it’s good to see you here. And although we can’t consider Dec. 31 to Jan. 1 a finish line in everything, there is indeed finality in many things, but mostly because of the calendar date and from a governmental perspective. In fact, the largest change in all of our lives (Americans) will be the changing of the “political” guard, but I’m not here to talk about that. Just be ready.

Other things continue, like mental/emotional/physical health, economic status, daily responsibilities, relationship status, etc. And although we’ve made our annual resolution plans, it’s important to remember that you didn’t have to wait for a hard date to make that change. It could have happened anytime, just as it can happen at any point in the coming year.

I just wanted to tell you that we cannot blame a year number for our lives and what happens in them. Who we are, where we are and what we do falls solely on us, oftentimes with the help of others and ultimately, God.

So, let’s come together, as one, as family. Love our neighbors, help each other. Forgive others, but only after forgiving ourselves. Make that itemized project list and spell out what it takes to complete it. Then stick to it.

And if we fall short, identify how it happened and put the control methods in place to eliminate or minimize recurrence.

Don’t worry about this necessarily being a year of change. Think of it more as a year of commitment.

Then, as the song says, change is gonna come.

Happy New Year and thank you for your love and support of my blog. I hope that through my words these past few years you’ve found joy, laughter, love, peace, information or just something different to think about.

And even though we’re leaping out of 2024, don’t be concerned about creeping into 2025. There are a lot of unknowns, so it ain’t the year, it’s the fear.

As I said before, be brave and take my hand.
It’s a new day and we’re in this world together…
