I just wanted to tell you that we cannot blame a year number for our lives and what happens in them. Who we are, where we are and what we do falls solely on us, oftentimes with the help of others and ultimately, God.
When they told me they had something special waiting for me at the next spot I cocked my head in curiosity, wondering how they could outdo the first and second adventures.
That would mean that I would need an electronic tint available during certain hours to resist the harsh rays of the sun when it stands high in the sky and when it descends.
I think it would be fascinating to live in a country where racism is not a factor. I remember someone from Africa once telling me online, “You wouldn’t be ‘Black’ here. We have no Black men. They’re all just men.”
Over time, I found that it wasn’t just “stepping in” when I was needed, but to ultimately make the day a little better, and make life a little more manageable…
I guess I’m beginning to understand why my kids call me “Uncle Phil” and “Furious Styles” (Laurence Fishburne as the woke father in “Boys In The Hood”).
