The Moore Chante Show – Ep. 12/20/2020 Recap (The Christmas Episode!)

Well here we are, lovely people. All snuggled up warm by the fireplace and swooning from the Christmas episode of The Moore Chante Show. And what a show it was! Truly a beautiful way to close out an otherwise troubling year. Wait. Close out the year? What about Sunday, December 27?

Yeah, about that.
I’ll get to that in a few paragraphs.

Chante began this episode, begrudgingly having to talk about something she shouldn’t. Those pesky gnats, at it again, still trying to cause problems. She told us to watch this episode on “Chante Moore Fans“, NOT from the “Chante Moore Real Page” (because it AIN’T). Ignore their “friend” request, do not follow them back. Report and block them. Jeez. These folks need a life…

Back to the love, which she gave by returning greetings to various fans logged in for our favorite gal, Chante Moore!

Special Announcement: Chante is building a studio!!! What kind? Only she knows. But hang in there. We’ll all know soon enough!

Chante said that the gift of Christmas is that God loved us so much that He came in the flesh. He is the combination of Father, Son and Holy Ghost, which is so wonderful. The fullness of Godhead. Think about it.

She said that she now has a (new) Nightshirt in addition to the T-Shirts, Masks, Hoodies (and other great Chantebelia) on ProBlackOnline under the Chante Moore Collection, so if you want yours, click, pick and rep yo’ chick!! For access to all of the other great offers, you know – All Things Chante… …be sure to visit her Linktree and get it all!

She acknowledged that many fans have expressed their desire to see her in a “Versus” battle with someone (I think the only person she should ever compete with is herself: Chante vs Chante!). She said she would do it if asked, but she thought it would be interesting and newsworthy to do a “Versus” battle with Kenny Lattimore.

Of course her son said that would be “sooo weird” (for those of you who are new to the party or have been living under a rock with no internet access, her son is Kenny Lattimore, Jr.).

Another Special Announcement: Chante will be taking a well-deserved week off! She will post something for us on Sunday, but it won’t be live.

She seemed to get a bit emotional when saying that, stating that she felt as if she was “letting us all down”. You know what? That speaks to her character. She is such a beautiful spirit; caring about us so much that she wants to satisfy us in all that she does. Why can’t more public figures be like her? Why can’t our leaders? Why can’t WE be like that to one-another? I personally feel that she should take at least two weeks (hush yo’ mouth, Kenny) to enjoy the holidays and a little more time to herself. She has delivered, endlessly and without interruption every Sunday since Easter. Now that she’s back doing live shows while entertaining us (I hope you all are showing your appreciation by giving back via CashApp blessings and ordering those ChanteGrams), I’m sure she is every bit as fatigued as she mentioned in the previous week’s episode. Yes we, her adoring fans, want as much as we can get, but let’s not wear her out, folks. She’s only human. A fabulous one, but human nonetheless.

She may go live on Christmas Day, so keep your eyes peeled and your social media viewing devices charged up.

She said she wanted to sing The Twelve Days of Christmas but didn’t think it would sound/feel right with just her singling alone. Mannnn/womannnn, please. She could sing commercial jingles and we’d sit through them with Bic lighters held high, crying her name like those people at the Michael Jackson Bucharest concert.

She wants us to know that she thinks about us when she’s ‘getting herself together’. She adds that it’s not just about Jesus being Jesus, but Him being the “invisible image of God”. Because God is a spirit, which is why we worship Him in spirit and in truth. God, Himself, He can’t be contained or seen. We can only see Him in the flesh that is Jesus; the image of the invisible God.

And we can definitely see God’s WORK.

Reach out and call your loved ones, that you don’t usually see, during this holiday season. Between the quarantine (with the physical separation), the political climate, financial difficulty and other trying moments this year (especially cases of depression, often suffered during and associated with holidays), many need your love and care now, more than ever.

Yet Another Special Announcement! She finished editing her book, “My Quest For God’s Face“.

Chante’s ChanTunes

  • “Santa, Baby” by Eartha Kitt (Ok, I direct this statement at and to Chante. How you gon’ sing this song, knowing good and doggone well my wife is sitting next to me, watching me closely?)
  • “O Come, All Ye Faithfull” by John Francis Wade (Such a powerful holiday tune. Normally, I only listen to the majestic rendition by the late, awesome Luther Vandross. How fitting that his counterpart to unequivocal greatness, our girl Chante, sang it gently, yet magnificently. And that ending. Take me home, Lord. Now there are TWO people I listen to, performing it.)
  • “No Greater Love” by Last Call (I love how she nervously prefaced that this was her first time performing it. Coulda fooled ME! The verses fell perfectly within her normal singing range which resonated beautifully. Then she took that to the next level as she charged upward and onward as the song progressed. No Greater Voice than the voice of the girl we love…)
  • “The Vow” by RuthAnne (This song reminds Chante of the love that God has for us, what we should have for Him and what we should have for one-another. She played it this year the day that Kobe Bryant and his family died in that tragic accident. She also listens to it as a reminder of her mother.)
  • “Home With You” (ft. Chante Moore) by VaShawn Mitchell (Another song you need to download for your CM collection. It is NOT on the Christmas CD, so remember you need to get them separately.)
  • “Every Day’s Like Christmas” by Chante Moore (A fitting carol to close out the show from her “Christmas Back to You” CD. You know what? She’s right. If we do right, if we do better by ourselves and others, every day CAN be like Christmas; joy all year ’round. I read a few comments from fans on IG who said it made them cry. I think they were feeling what I just said as well.)
  • “It’s Alright” (Acapella) by Chante Moore (She managed to sneak the classic in on us one last time for the year. I ain’t sayin’ nothin’ this time. Just excuse me while I fly away as you read the closing thoughts.)

Chante’s Closing Thoughts: “Thank you guys, again, for being here with me and for always being here with me. I appreciate you very much. I see your names and it makes me smile. It makes me know that I’m supported and that I’m not in this by myself. And I’m grateful. I wanna wish you the best, Merriest Christmas ever. I know, I know it’s a little different this year, but it’s ok. It’s gonna be alright…”

And of course, it IS alright. Even better with love and ice cream…

…and once again, that’s going to do it for this week’s recap. I’d like to thank you all as well: those who come for TMCS recaps, the people who stumble upon my page via referral, my email followers and those of you who’ve faithfully followed Kenny’s Camera, Cooking & Confessions from my very first blog post two years ago. Not everybody is with me today from back when I began this journey, but my love never dies, so I carry them with me always.

The Moore Chante Show recaps will be back soon and we will reconvene when she returns. In the interim, my madness will continue…

Merry Christmas, everybody!
