The Moore Chanté Show – Ep. 5/8/2021 – The Mother’s Day Episode

…annnnnnnd we’re back to recap another great episode of TMCS.

This episode came as a surprise to us all, since Chanté went live Saturday at 9 p.m. Pacific Time for some early Mother’s Day love (she had a full day planned for Sunday, including travel). She originally wanted to air her show earlier in the evening, but decided to leave that time to the SWV/Xscape Verzuz event, giving her support.

That’s our lady, always thinking about others, hunh?

While wishing a Happy Mother’s Day to everyone she spoke briefly about her mother and how she aspires towards being a ‘closer to perfect’ mother for her own children. She admitted that Mother’s Day has been bittersweet for her, thinking about her mother, who passed away 27 years ago. She remembered how her mother said that we don’t tell each other enough how much we love one another. Loving her mother and being loved BY her mother is what made her want to be a mother herself. She took that moment to tell her children directly (via Instagram) how much she loved them and was grateful for both of them. She also gave a personal message of love to her spiritual mother, who was also watching.

She reminded us that we need each other’s love and really need to be there for each other. It’s not always the same for every friend, nor is it the same for every person. It’s about knowing who your friends are and what they really need. Being honest, truthful and forthright.

She shared that she’s learning things about herself that she’s never known before; the weak spots as well as there stronger spots. She knows there is more to learn and more to do, but she encourages us all to take one day at a time. She knows we’re all going through it so she reminds us to hold on to what gives you strength. For her, it’s Jesus, the love of family and friends, trusting in the Lord, leaning NOT to her own understanding.

She told us that despite what we see when we look at her, she is human. She is a woman with frailties and struggles, just like the next person. So when she tells you that she understands, she honestly and truly does empathize with each and every one of us. So again, don’t give up.

She asks us to pray for her, as she prays for us, en masse.
