Find Someone To Grow Old With

The content in this blog post originally popped up in my Facebook memories a little while back. I think that what I have to say is important to each and every one of us. Now, more than ever, so I’m sharing it here. God Bless!

Find someone to grow old with.
I mean that with all sincerity…

Have you ever sat in a park and watched an elderly couple, knowing the world is whizzing by them but they’re comfortable with their mutual speed and interests? That’s cool.

Have you ever sat in a fast food restaurant and noticed the same group of men, sitting in the same section, the same time of day, every day? That’s cool.

Don’t be discouraged if you aren’t married. Growing old with somebody includes having someone that you care about, whom you can be honest with and kind to with total reciprocity.

It can be a best friend, a life partner, significant other, or just someone you’ve gotten to know that’s consistently there for you.

What matters most is, when you are at the end of your journey, you can look at that person and know that they had your back all the way. Someone that’s ride or die…

I know that when that day comes, I will look at that person and not only be extremely appreciative of what they mean to me, but I will be reminded that God loved me enough to design someone in that capacity to be on my team. This applies to everyone in my life!

To those of you that have been by my side, without fail, thank you. It doesn’t matter if I’ve known you since I was 4 or 40. I love you and I’m so happy to have you in my life…

…and I really hope you’re with me at the end.
