The Moore Chante Show – Ep. 3/7/2021

…annnnnnnd we’re back to recap another great episode of The Moore Chante Show.

This month is Women’s History Month, all about US – excuse me – Y’ALL women (forgot who I was – let me take off my wig)! God bless every one of you. We value you. We love you. And by the way, Happy International Women’s Day! Girl Power! Ladies, you rock!

Our living legend began the show giving love to another legend, Teena Marie, whose birthday was March 5.

As always, she was in the mood for song. And we were ready.

She mentioned that we’re coming up on a year since her show debuted last Easter and she’s trying to decide how to celebrate it (if you have thoughts or suggestions, be sure to share them). No matter what it is, we have no doubt that it will be extraordinary.

She shared the “good luck charm” ring she purchased from Tina Turner‘s (of whom she is a great fan) website which reminds her: She knows that when we say we love her that that connection is real. She knows what it’s like because she can definitely relate.

ChanTrivia: Her son, Kenny Lattimore, Jr. shares the same birthday as his father, famed R&B singer Kenny Lattimore, May 10th.

Don’t forget that you can get the new Chante Moore Calendar from ProBlackOnline.

She stated that there are issues, times and situations that we all go through – times when we don’t feel like we’re on Cloud 9. Sadly, unfortunately, we’re not always prepared for the emotions that accompany life and its struggles; times, through which, we all have to be strong. It’s not always easy. But she wants us all to know that she’s with us. She notes that when things get us down we have to “put something on” that positions our mind frame in positivity; even if it’s something as simple as an article of clothing. In times like these, we should “put on Christ”. Consciously choose joy.

Chante’s Inscription Of Inspiration For The Week
Hebrews 4:15
(NKJV) 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

She said that grace is funny. Grace is “the undeserved favor”. Undeserved FAVOR. TAKE that grace. TAKE on that favor and accept. Hold it and hold it tight.

Chante’s ChanTunes

  • “I Need Your Lovin'” by Teena Marie (As promised, as a tribute to the late, great Teena Marie – dedicated to all the lovers out there.)
  • “You’re Still The One” by Shania Twain
  • “Never Too Much” by Luther Vandross (I always consider it a real treat when my favorite female artist performs a song by my favorite group of all time, Earth, Wind & Fire. This time she honored my favorite MALE artist of all time. God, I wish they had recorded together.)
  • “Witness” by Jordan Feliz
  • “Casanova Brown” by Teena Marie (Since it was her birthday, yet another tribute.)
  • “At Last” by Etta James (Everybody can’t sing it. Everybody ain’t able. SHE is…)

So that’s going to do it for this week. I hope you all enjoyed reading my take on the show as much as I enjoyed watching her and talking about it. I can think of many ways to close out my crazy weeks, but very few come anywhere close to sitting back and enjoying an Ice Scream Sundae on an “I Scream” Sunday.

Check back on IG/FB next Sunday for another “real one” and then right back here at Zoot’s Blog Spot for another chat. Oh yeah, if you’d like to read the latest episode of TMCS along with others, all of my recent blog posts can be found on my Flowpage.

…and remember ladies, We Value You. We LOVE You. Click here if you want to know exactly what I’m talking about, my special tribute to women worldwide.
