Blog #400: We Still Made It

You know, if I hadn’t taken a moment to look at the blog post count, I would not have caught the fact that the last post was Blog #399.

Which would make this #400.

I’m sorry. Once more, with feeling…

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have hit post #400!!!

Quoting what I said back when I hit Blog #300, I’m trying to wrap my mind around the fact that I’ve sat at my PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone (even the library’s computer) at LEAST 300 400 times to put my thoughts in print (actually, on screen). And I can’t begin to quantify the thousands of hours I’ve put in writing, editing and revising my topics. Not to mention researching, prepping, editing and creating pertinent &/or idiotic gifs, sound bytes, photos and movie clips to enhance the content and promote this blog page.

And now, thanks to Artificial Intelligence (AI), it’s easier for me to share my stories about past and present with story-specifix imagery.

And like I said before, it’s worth every doggone minute of it.

And you know my style. This blog has no particular specialty. It revolves around Commentaries, Camera, Cooking, Confessions and other Common and UnCommon Concepts Catering to all who will read what my Conscience can Capture. C? I mean, SEE?

It really is a lot of fun, talking about a little bit of everything, never focusing on any one niche. Not that I don’t want to be seen as a specialist in any one particular area, but I don’t. True, it hurts the blog’s potential because not everything is for everybody. Still, there is a little something for anyone who sticks around long enough to find out. As you all know, the benefit of it all is that you can pick and choose what you’d like to read.

As a result, to date, my blog has been read in 143 of the world’s 195 recognized countries!

Hey, I can say we’re world WIDE!

But seriously, I consider that a tremendous honor. Knowing people in countries I never knew existed are taking the time to read what I’ve had to say. And though they may never take the time to say “so-and-so was here”, I know it and again, I’m thankful for it.

Since I’ve hit you all with some hard data, let me share a few other things, since you’re here. What I’d also like to share (in no particular rank or order) are 10 blog posts that have not generated near as much activity, but I do consider to be worthy of your attention, no matter who you are (no they weren’t low in reads, but the Top 10 really threw off the grading curve):

6. Dear Spoilers: You Saw It First. Great. Now Shut Up! – Some things to which I know we can all relate.

8. So Starling… Save The Laaaaast Daaance Forrr Me – Another coming of age story.
9. I Am So Sorry: A College Memory On National Hot Sauce Day – One of my funniest memories of a former college roommate and a dear friend. May he Rest In Peace.
10. Gym Tales: You Got Me? Yeah, I Got’choo – Let’s face it. My arrogance has been my undoing on too many occasions. Good for a few laughs.

As many of you know, I’ve reduced my posting output significantly over the past year due to projects as of late. To be more specific, when I started in 2019, I put out 92 articles. In 2020 it jumped to 123. But in 2023, I had an all-time low of 26, as I’ve been working on other important projects beyond this.

So yeah, although my pace dropped, we still made it to 400!

But please know that I haven’t gone anywhere. I do have a fair amount of backup articles that I’ve been posting along the way to keep things new and for those of you that have recently joined, you’re free to go back and read anything along the way since I’ve begun.

Just know that once I’ve finished my other projects (and I WILL tell you about them soon) I’ll be back in full force, hitting you with more than ever before!

But they’ll keep coming, so be on the lookout. And if you haven’t, make sure you sign up at the bottom for email notifications of future work from my blog, so you won’t have to look for announcements on social media.
